The title says it all: why fame? Why seek it, be it, live it? There's this assumption that gets ingrained into you in the arts, but especially the performing arts, that in order to be successful – which is yet another loaded word – you must be square (heh) with being famous. But why? Nobody else assumes this; it's not a given in other forms of labor – including in the arts, at times. Which is to say, most of the time. So why?

One of the reasons for this is peoples' need for mythic figures, of ritual and magic, or so it is asserted. But magic is everywhere, if you look for it; "The Revolution of Everyday Something-or-another." So what, then? What sense of longing propels people to make a select few of us very famous, and the rest of us, well, we do what we can. Again, why?

So that's the album, in all its shimmery goodness – a sort-of-pop collection of anti-instrumentals, with a theme attached. You don't even have to idolize me to enjoy it! Such rapture, much joy. Enjoy.
